3rd Annual DMC Memorial Golf Tournament Honoring CPO David M. Collins 1969-2014

SOC David M. Collins enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1988 and served 24 years before retiring. He successfully completed first class dive school and was assigned to SEAL Delivery Vehicle Team TWO at Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek by 1991. Dave retired from service in September 2012, having notably served in Operations Desert Storm, Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. As a result of his years of service and 10 years in combat, David suffered from blast-induced traumatic brain injury and chronic traumatic encephalopathy.

David passed from service related wounds on March 12, 2014.

Proceeds to benefit the Eliza Hope Foundation (www.elizahope.org). Eliza Hope Darby was a sweet, joyful and loving little girl. She loved popcorn and pinecones. Eliza was diagnosed with intractable Epilepsy and Autism Spectrum Disorder at 16 months of age. The mission of the Eliza Hope Foundation is to provide educational support for children and families who are living with Autism Spectrum Disorders in the Hampton Roads Area by establishing a preschool completely dedicated to providing the special services, teachers and equipment necessary to meet the unique learning needs of these children. Sadly, beautiful Eliza passed away in November 2016.
